This is THE ultimate way to learn about essential oils!

As you’re searching for essential oils that you want to try, you may have also come across the use of a carrier oil for essential oils. So…

What is a carrier oil?

A carrier oil is any oil that you use to dilute essential oils.

You don’t need a carrier oil for everything you use essential oils for.

Carrier oils are most important to have for most purposes of when you are using essential oils to apply directly to your skin.

You need this carrier oil because essential oils in their purest form can be a bit too strong for your skin.

This means that most essential oils shouldn’t be applied directly to your skin.

The typical essential oil bottles that you buy are pure extracts from plants and leaves.

This means that they can be highly concentrated.

Even if you don’t have sensitive skin, it’s possible that you can have a negative reaction to the oil when applied to your skin.

Carrier oils can also help to neutralize the strong scent so the smell doesn’t become overpowering.

When you add essential oils to a diffuser, essential oils are diluted with water, and you get steam from the oil and water into the air.

When you add them to your bathtub for aromatherapy, the essential oils become diluted through water as well.

When you’re applying an essential oil to your skin, you’re not given an automatic way to dilute the oil.

So using a carry oil will dilute the concentration of the essential oil in its pure form.

🐠 Here are things you must consider packing!

I also don't go snorkeling without a personal swim float buoy. Not only does it help to keep me visible, but it makes for a perfect way to rest out in deeper water! Oh, and it also serves as a dry bag so I can take stuff into the water with me.

Another way I have taken valuables into the water with me is to wear a travel money belt that I don't mind getting wet with salt water (it's not waterproof but I have several so I just use one of them) and then I put things in a ziplock freezer bag, and put that freezer bag in the money belt.

There are also designated waterproof waist pouches that you can store your valuables and take into the water with you.
