What is Hawaiian wood?

Hawaiian wood here refers to Koa wood.

You’ll find there are a number of different types of jewelry that are made with this Koa wood, including watches, necklaces, and earrings.

Koa wood comes from a type of tree that’s native to Hawaii.

And there was actually a time in which Koa was only allowed to be used by royalty. That was during a time in which a king ruled Hawaii. The only royal palace that’s located in the United States is in Hawaii. That is the Iolani Palace located in downtown Honolulu.

It’s also said that Koa wood was used to make canoes to travel between the Hawaiian islands, and it’s also said that this type of wood was used to make the first surfboard!

So, this type of wood has a little bit of worthy history. 😉

Like the famous Hawaiian coffee, this wood comes from the Big Island of Hawaii.
